- Assisting sudents to administrative formalities;
- Preparing teaching supports for students who can not use printed materials;
- Computer aids and study support;
- Availability of dedicated equipments and furnishings for classes.
At the Section Didability of the Office for Rights to an education there is a computer room equipped for the different disabilities. Computer aids are available on demand.
Each Department shall organize and carry out support activities by senior students to students with disabilities, to eliminate or reduce the barriers that these latter may encounter in their path of study. The tutors will thus provide, among other supports, aid in study, literature researches, help in relating with teachers.
In collaboration with CAOT (the University Centre for Guidance and Tutoring), information to students with disabilities are provided on:
- courses offered by the Departments, and minimum knowledge requirements to access the different degree courses;
- information campaigns aimed at supporting students with disabilities;
- for undergraduates and graduates, whatever may be relevant to a qualified access to the world of work.
In addition, in collaboration with the Rector’s Delegate to Placement (orientation to work), a section of the Unisa Placement website, dedicated to graduates and undergraduates with disabilities.
In the section it is possible to indicate any aids is needed to work. Companies and Firms can also easily consult the Italian rules and regulations on recruitment of disabled people.
In collaboration with the Office for International Relations and with the aim of promoting the participation of disabled students in international mobility programs (Erasmus, Leonardo, bilateral agreements, etc.), the following activities hold:
- a section of the Call for participation to mobility programs is reserved to students with disabilities;
- dedicated training sessions are organized;
- assistancen is guaranteed in the compilation of required forms;
- help is offered in getting in touch with the foreign universities to define the necessary supports .3
In the Erasmus mobility program, EU funding are specially provided to promote international mobility of students with disabilities.
Compensatory aids and dispensers (computer and teaching) are available for students dyslexic or with other learning difficulties, to guarantee them an easier attendance of course and exams. It is also allowed that exams which include a written test may be taken in verbal mode or in ways different from those usually adopted Departments, and that an additional time be given for the tests. The Commission has released a document concerning both test times and use of additional devices. The document is included in this guide.

Counseling is a specific type of communicative action aimed at addressing the difficulties emerging in critical moments of the life cycle, facilitating the transition from a state of distress to well-being, in a relatively short time. It consists of a helping relationship, which can support the individual in dealing with the moments of transition and the subsequent changes. It is often essential to social integration. The Commission, in cooperation with the Office for Prevention and protection and the Office ofDesign, carries out a constant monitoring to remove architectural barriers in the campus.
